The History of country music
Country music is a genre of american popular music that originated in the southwest in the 1920 it takes it roots from the southeastern genre of folk music and western music.Country music often consists of ballads and dance tunes with generally simple forms and harmonies with mostly string, instruments like banjos, electric and acoustic guitars Dobro and fiddles and sometimes harmonicas. The term country music gained it respect and popularity it was originally called hillbilly music but some people took offense to it so they changed the name so people would not get mad and stop listening.
