Roller Coaster Engineer/Designer
The main responsibilities of a roller coaster engineer are deciding where the tracks should be placed, picking the right roller coaster for a particular environment and making sure all aspects are safe with each roller coaster. To make sure rides are safe, these engineers test them out, making sure all of the weights and speeds are set correctly

Scholarships at ECU
The Laura Marie Leary Elliott Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund has been created to assist students pursuing careers in fields that are historically underrepresented by minority populations. This may include, but is not limited to, fields related to science, mathematics, engineering, and technology. The scholarship recipient(s) must be enrolled full-time at East Carolina University, have a minimum grade point average of a 3.0 and must contribute to the diversity of the institution. The scholarship will be annually awarded to one female and one male student.
Awarded to a full-time undergraduate or graduate student (minimum of twelve (12) credit hours for undergraduate students or enrolled in a minimum of nine (9) credit hours for graduate students) with a minimum cumulative grade point average 3.0.
Scholarships in General
The North American International Auto Show High School Poster Contest awards 16 students prizes of varying amounts, from as little as $100, to as much as $1000. The only stipulation is that a 25” x 21” poster must be submitted.
The Central Arizona Tall Society gives a scholarship to a girl of at least 5’10” and a boy at least 6’2″ in an award of $250.
Median salary of $74,920 and between $50,550 and $119,480.
You can find a job at either a company that builds roller coasters of sometimes you could even work for a theme park.
