Legalization of Marijuana

Which branch or level of

government would you

chose to legalize marijuana?

Federal Government vs. State Government

We believe the final decision about legalizing marijuana should be made by either the federal government. Some may also believe the state should make this decision. It would be complicated for the people who travel state to state.  If the federal government has the final dicesicin it would be the same in all states and nothing would be illegal when people try to bring marijuana from state to state. Everyday people are arrested for traveling with weed in their backseat, if one is driving from a legal state to an illegal state they will be arrested and put behind bars. This is one more prisoner that is in jail and prison is packed enough as it is. Congress has a better control over people than the state does.

Federal Government

If congress were to pass  the legalization law it would be legal to have marijuana everywhere no matter what state you are from or what state you are traveling to. Congress makes , decides and creates if certain laws should be passed or created everyday.  This is what they do for a living every single day.  This is not the first time this law has become about, we have been seeing legalization of marijuana for quite some time now.  The Federal Government has been discussing the issue of legalizing this drug.  The economy would benefit from having people sell marijuana legally.  Many people would begin opening companies to sell marijuana resulting in more money for taxes, prisons, education and so much more for the country to improve. The government has the most control over what people do besides the president of course.
