Swimming in Spain
Swimming originated in Egyptian hieroglyphics of people swimming in the Cave of Swimmers of southwest Egypt.
Swimming was considered a competitive sport in the 1830's in England.
Rules depend on what stroke you are doing. For example rules for Freestyle are, no walking on the bottom, pulling on the lane rope, not and completing the distance. Rules for butterfly are don't stop moving your arms in a circle motion in and out of the water, and no flutter kick.
A competitive swimming match lasts from 2 to 4 hours at least.
How many people swim during a swim match depends on what type of competition you're doing. If its a open-water relay then there will be 2-6 members on each team.
You don't really score in swimming. Scoring in swimming depends on what place you took. If your team-member came first you win, if they came second or third you don't.
The measurements for a Olympic size swimming pool are 50 meters or 164 feet in length, 25 meters or 82 feet in width, and 2 meters or 6 feet in depth.
Basic strategy for swimming includes;always keeping your goggles tight so they don't fall off, while swimming remember to look up so you can keep your swim line straight, and purchase a swimmer's snorkel so you can focus more on strokes while swimming.
Some main swimming penalties are false start, incorrect movements, or illegal turns can get you disqualified at any moment.
Swimming equipment needed for competitive swimming includes a bag you can hold your equipment in, a kick board(a floating device) to help swimmers practice their kicks. Fins (a floating device for the feet) to help swimmers go faster during practice. Pull Buoys to help swimmers with their body position. Paddles are to put on the swimmer's hand to add resistance while swimming any stroke.
Competitive swimming leagues include the Olympic Games,Competition, and Cup Games.
Swimming has changed over the years by career times. Most people were done swimming by the time you get out of University. Nowadays you can stay in till you want to leave, or you get kicked off the team. There was a type of swimming equipment that was a shirt with pockets all over it, with plastic inserts on side them. This gave so much resistance it slowed swimmers down, and the outcome was shoulder tendinitis. This affects the muscles that help move the shoulder join. Luckily, we don't have today.
