Snowboarding is originated in the United States in the 1960's. There is no time limit for regular snowboarding, but in competitions there are. In Austria, there are tons of Mountains to Snowboard on such as, Mayrhofen.

Snowboarding is an individual sport. You snowboard by sliding on a slope covered with snow while standing on the board that is attached to your feet. You can ski or snowboard in Austria.

During the Olympics, judges judge you on

An overview on the riders performance a trick

and the effect it has on the final position  in the event. The Judges use STTL for the snowboarding tactics which stands for Set up, Take off, Trick, and Landing.

There are general rules and major or minor fouls or disqualification in Snowboarding. You can do many things in snowboarding such as jumps, tricks, and just sliding down the mountain.

You need warm clothes,

a board, boots, a helmet, and goggles for safety and to be able to snowboard. You need better equipment for harder leagues such as the Olympics, the Special Olympics, the Winter Olympics, and the Winter X Games.

Since the 1960's snowboarding has changed a lot. There is new equipment and better trails to ride on. And, people have improved in snowboarding since then. In the 1960's they said snowboarding was just surfing on land.
