The Aswan High Dam was finished in 1970. It coast about one billion dollars. The Dam is 364 feet tall and a length of 12,562.
Shrinking of the Aral sea
The Aral sea is situated in central Asia. The Aral sea was deprived of it's two main sources. This led to less water. In normal conditions the Aral sea gets a fifth of it's water supply from rain fall
Acid rain is caused by sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide. The sulfur and nitrogen are emitted in to the atmosphere and transported by wind and air currents. Acid rain harms the environment.
The Ring Of Fire
The Ring of Fire is a string of volcanoes. the Ring of Fire isn't quite ring shape its more like a horse shoe. The Ring of Fire is 452 volcanoes that stretch around South America, North America, through Japan and New Zealand.
After a major earth quake a 15 meter tsunami happen in japan. The tsunami knocked out the power supply and cooling of three Fukushima reactors. This caused a nuclear accident.
