Bowling in Bermuda:
Back in 3,200 B.C, Americans, Dutch, and German Settlers originated bowling. The game is pretty much played the same way as we do here in America. We roll a ball 2 times each round to knock down as many pins as possible.
When it comes to bowling, all you need is bowling shoes and a bowling ball. The rules of bowling are pretty simple. Each frame has two turns, which means you get two tries per frame to knock down as many pins as possible. There's ten pins in total for each frame. Each game is ten frames long and up to four players can play. The only way you can get a foul is if you cross the foul line during your turn. Your score is determined based on how many pins you knock down in each frame. At the end of the game, all the points you gained are added up to determine a winner.
In the sport of bowling, there's international competitions and leagues. For example, some towns may offer different seasonal bowling leagues such as ones in the winter or the summer. Also, some of the professional bowlers may go out to different states and countries for international competitions. In Bermuda, some leagues include the Warriors League, The Perfect Storm League, and The Commercial League.
