The Capitol

The Capitol is the building where sits the Congress, the legislative power of the United States. Its construction began in 1793. In the north wing is the Senate and in the south wing the House of Representatives

Union Station

It is put into service in 1939 and is considered as the "last one of the big railroad stations" of the country. It is however considered too small with regard to the other unions stations.

This museum is simply incredible! Imagine a place where planes steeped in history are beside mythical machines of the NASA, the capsules come back from the space (as the Capsule Apollo), rockets, missiles, satellites ... The whole in an incredible direction only the Americans of which have the secret! And the whole: free

The White House

The White House was built between 1792 and 1800. It is the symbol of the executive power and the American politics. In the wing West are administrative offices of which the oval office, Room cabinet and Roosevelt Room; in the wing is is the office of the first Lady and the secretarial department of the White House. The gardens of the White House complete marvelously the building. It is inspired by the Georgian style

In the continuation of Washington Monument are numerous memorials in memory of the various American wars: Korean War, Vietnam War, Second World War.

The atmosphere is full  of emotion and meditation. The Americans are very united and proud  of their army. The day of my visit, numerous veterans were in Washington D.C. to attend throughout the day numerous remembrances.

 The Lincoln Memorial

Built in 1922, the Lincoln Memorial has a Greek temple of air. The 36 columns symbolize the number of EU Member States at the time of Lincoln. Inside the memorial is a statue of Abraham Lincoln over 5m high. It is the monument that is found on the notes of US $ 5.

Tidal Bassin

Around the lake is a large number of memorials in homage to various presidents and American great(tall) men: the Martin Luther King JR memorial, Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, the George Mason Memorial and the Thomas Jefferson Memorial.
In the spring, when trees are in bloom, the frame is incredible!
