MASS OF MERCURY
Mercury's mass is 13,600kg which is 13,600 x 103 g. if earth was a baseball then mercury would be a golf ball , 1/3 the size of earth
SIZE OF MERCURY
The size of mercury is 1,516 . Mercury compared to earth in size is approximately 38% the diameter.
THE TIME IT TAKES FOR MERCURY TO ORBIT THE SUN
Mercury only takes 88 days to orbit the sun.
IT TAKES FOR MERCURY TO ROTATE
One rotation takes 175.97 earth days.
MERCURYS ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE
Mercury's thin atmosphere consist of trace amounts of hydrogen and helium. The atmospheric pressure is only about 1 x 10-9 millibars; this is a tiny fraction (about 2 trillionths) of the atmospheric pressure on Earth.
MERCURYS ATOMSPHERIC COMPOSITION
Mercury's atmosphere contains small amounts of hydrogen, helium, and oxygen. It also has even tinier amounts of sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium. Some of the gas particles come from the solar wind. Others are made by radioactive decay or when micrometeorites smash into the surface
MERCURYS TEMPERATURE INFORMATION-
Temperatures on Mercury's surface can reach 800 degrees Fahrenheit (430 degrees Celsius). Because the planet has no atmosphere to retain that heat, nighttime temperatures on the surface can drop to -280 degrees Fahrenheit (-170 degrees Celsius)
Mercury has no moons.

WHY I LIKE THIS PLANET/CHOSE THIS PLANET?
Why i like this planet is because, its the closest planet to the sun . I chose this planet because i did some research on it last year and was interested.
SPACE EXPLORATION -
Because Mercury is so small, and located so close to the Sun, astronomers weren’t able image features on its surface with any accuracy. It wasn’t until the 1960s, when Soviet scientists bounced radio signals off the surface of Mercury that astronomers got any sense of what its surface was like.
HOW MANY SPACE CRAFTS HAD VISITED?
Two spacecraft have visited the planet Mercury so far. The first was called Mariner 10. During 1974 and 1975, Mariner 10 flew by Mercury three times and mapped about half of the planet's surface. Mariner 10 also discovered Mercury's thin atmosphere and detected its magnetic field
