Figure Skating in China.
Figure Skating in China is pretty much the same as figure skating in the U.S.A. They are scored on: Singles, pairings, ice dancing, and synchronized skating. When they do pairings and synchronized skating they all match with their outfits.
Figure skating started about 4,000 years ago in the 13th century in Finland. People who did skate they would take a flatted bone and strap it to the bottom of their foot. Even Queen Victoria enjoyed to skate.
Figure skating originated in Europe some time around 1860.
In figure skating all you need are skates, a routine, and an outfit. There are really no penalties, if you mess up they just take off points from your finale score.
A figure skating match for short skating has to be with eight required elements performed within two minutes and fifty seconds. For free skating it goes on for four minutes and thirty seconds.
China Resources Land announced a plan saying they are going to include Olympic-size ice arenas.
There is not a lot of equipment used for figure skating only skates and your costume for your dance. Other than that there is no equipment needed.
The types of leagues that exist for the sport are: The Olympics and the World Cup.
