Undertale is a PC indie game that made it's debut on September 15th of the year 2015. The creator Toby Fox wanted to make a game that didn't follow the typical expectations of an RPG. His sense of innovation and dedication, combined with his past experience composing music for the webcomic Homestuck and creating short games, led to Undertale.

Unlike your average RPG game where you go through defeating every enemy that crosses your path, in Undertale you can choose not to kill anyone. While you can still destroy other characters, you can also choose to interact with them. By interacting, you can move through that battle, and continue progressing in the game.

Toby Fox composed every song that plays in the game. With the exception of a few songs that were created before Undertale, each track was made specifically for the purpose of appearing in the game. One song that was written before the game's release was "Megalovania". It's first occurrence was in Toby's Earthbound Halloween hack. The next time it was released was for the webcomic "Homestuck". Then finally, Undertale. Each version has it's own unique touches that make it different from the last.
The Undertale Team
As stated before, Toby Fox is the creator of Undertale. He wanted to keep the team on board very small, as to not confuse his vision of the game. The only other person Toby brought on board was artist Temmie Chang. Temmie assisted in the designing of several characters, including the character "Temmie". This character is a manifestation of herself. The character to the right is the aforementioned "Temmie".
The hype for Undertale became apparent when Toby's Kickstarter raised over 10x the expected goal of $5,000. With the current amount of $51,124 raised, Toby continues to release updates over time, in hopes to finish the game as he hoped it to have been before he released it.
Undertale's Plot Preview
A human child who has fallen into an underground realm must navigate through the land to find their way back home. Along the way they meet a cast of monsters and face challenges. Throughout the game you question the world around you. Are the humans are the real monsters of this world, or should you fear those around you?
Undertale is available for purchase at store.steampowered.com . The price of the game is $9.99. To add the soundtrack to your purchase costs $14.99 total. Undertale has earned the "Great Soundtrack" title on Steam, as well as an "Overwhelmingly Positive" review. I greatly recommend that you all check out this game!
