How much heat can gold stand up to? by matthew
Gold is a rare metal commonly found in items that are costly such as rings and other expensive jewelry.
Gold is actually able to stand up to a minimum of about 1000 degrees celsius and a maximum of around 2000 degrees celsius. Everyone thinks that gold is so soft, but that is pretty tough. Especially if you compare it to our skin. ( That burns at about 60 degrees celsius.) The hardest to burn material is actually tungsten. It is also the third hardest material in the world
