Water polo in Italy
Water Polo first became popular in 1899 and is a part of the Olympics and two of its own leagues.
Italy won the world championships in 1975, 1994 and 2011
Water Polo was invented in the mid-19th century
Each team has to try and score points by hitting a ball into the goal. Each team has at least 6 players in the pool at one time.
The length of the game is 45 minuets. There is 1 point per goal. The field is like a small soccer field in a pool. If you get a major foul you go to the penalty box for 20 seconds. three major fouls mean you get kicked out of the game.
