The Enlightenment

The enlightenment started with scholars and philosophers when they started to reevaluate old nations, religions and how they were ruled which started with, John Locke and Thomas Hobbes they both put forth key ideas. They both thought different and thought about a different way to gain power and rule. They thought different and thought about a different want to gain power and rule. They thought peopple would be wicked and selfish, and life would be solitary, poor, nasty, brutal and short. People started to solve their own problems and became independent

The scientific revolution

Before 1500 scholars based their facts on what ancient Greek Or Romans knew. Facts like the earth is flat. Scientists challenged the ancient ideas and started doing research on their own. One person named Copernicus became interested in an old greek idea where the sun stood in the middle of the universe. This came with the invention of many different tools like the first microscope, telescope thermometer. The Vaccine for small pox they used cow pox because it was not as dangerous as small pox.

Copernicus

He is a scientist, he came up with the heliocentric theory. The theory that the world is round and the sun is the center of the universe. He did not post a book because he felt he would be rejected so he did right before he died and other scientists worked off his theory
