London Tower Bridge
Tower Bridge is a combined bascule and suspension bridge in London built in 1886-1894. The bridge crosses the River Thames close to the Tower of London and has become an iconic symbol of London.
Located in Bermondsey, London, England, and is also informal name for the surrounding area. As part of the regeneration of the area, designer and restaurateur Terence Conran opened a number of now well-known riverside restaurants including Le Pont de la Tour, the Blueprint Cafe' and the Butler's Wharf Chop House. The area also includes numerous cafes, bars, shops and estate agents.
Buckingham Palace has served as the official London residence of the UK’s sovereigns since 1837 and today is the administrative headquarters of the Monarch. Although in use for the many official events and receptions held by The Queen, the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace are open to visitors every summer.
More than 50,000 people visit the Palace each year as guests to State banquets, lunches, dinners, receptions and Garden Parties. Her Majesty also holds weekly audiences with the Prime Minister and receives newly-appointed foreign Ambassadors at Buckingham Palace.
