Killer whales are amazing creatures you can find them in all kinds of oceans including the arctic these toothed whales got there name because of their sheer size and that they eat anything made of meat except for humans.killer whales are mammals just like us they breath air they give birth to live babies and they drink milk from their mothers like we do.these creatures have no natural enemies but the Great White shark is said to be the creatures mortal enemy however these 2 animals rarely run into each other however there are multiple videos on youtube showing killer whales and Great White sharks fighting usually with the killer whale winning and the Great White ending up as it's meal or other animals meal.killer whales are known to not attack humans however whales in captivity are known to attack and kill/injure their trainer the most known one is tilikum a killer whale who appeared in the movie blackfish and caused 3 deaths at seaworld so don't bother killer whales
Killer whales are the most wonderful species in the world they live in every ocean and you can even see them in aquarium's where you can look at them Killer whales are very gentle creatures unless you don't hurt them these creatures are also known as orca's it's revealed they are members of the dolphin family the name killer whale came from the dolphin's extremely large size orca's measure 30 feet in length that mean's there as long as a school bus Killer whales also travel in groups called pods which contains at least 6 to 40 Killer whales Killer whales are carnivores so they eat anything made of meat their diet consists of mammals such as seals elephant seals otters and other stuff killer whales have no natural enemies how their most dangerous foe is the Great White shark it may be possible they have rare encounters with these species however it has been shown on the internet that they fight each other for food or protection and dominance over land killer whales live in the pacific,atlantic, and arctic oceans the arctic is were they hang out at the most you can see ton's of killer whales there they eat penguins sea lions and other arctic animals. killer whales reach adult maturity at a certain age females mature at the age of 10 males mature at the age of 15 and do not reproduce until the age of 21.killer whales are not harmful to humans however whales in captivity are shown killing or injuring their trainer's since they aren't released in the wild most known orca to start this and kill people the most is tilikum whos was responsible for three death's at seaworld the first person he killed was his trainer Keltie Byrne she accidently fell into the pool containing tilikum and the whale approached her her and began pulling her underwater and around the tank along with to other captive whales Haida ll and Nootka IV after surfacing three times she drowned and it took several hours for other trainers to retrieve her body in 1999 seaworld trainers found the dead body of a man naked lying on tilikum's back and found scratch and bite marks on it is presumed tilikum killed the man when he tried to swim with the orca. tilikum's third death was Dawn Brancheau while feeding him the whale pulled her by her arm or ponytail into the water trainers retrieved her body when they got it she was dead and found grotesque wounds on her body that no other animal could sustain to human's overall killer whales are amazing creatures but don't mess with them or their babies or they'll get you.

Some killer whales also live and hunt together this is known as a pod a pod is a group of killer whales who live,help,share,and work together a killer whale that works,hunts,and lives alone is called a loner.killer whales also have incredible intellect as shown there smart enough to know a prey or enemies weak spot to kill them allot faster and easier and are smart enough to know when danger is near there also smart enough to know that humans are not food and can even communicate and have the power to understand human language they know human boats aren't prey and know humans are in them it likely for you to encounter a killer whale out in the pacific while on a boat or maybe the beach killer whales also seem to enjoy humans company as it seems to satisfy the whales they even will let people ride on there back and ride them across the water but be gentle while your riding them cause if you hurt the whale it will make you get off it's back and become aggressive and attack you so watch out.
a Baby killer whales is called a pup or calf the baby mostly comes out tail first however some newborns are born headfirst as soon as the babies born it swims to the surface to take it's first breath if it has trouble the mother pushes the baby up to the surface to help it get it's first breath the mother protects the baby until it's old enough to head off on it's own to join it's own pod and get it's own family it has been known that bay killer whales were captured and put in aquariums to entertain people and have been forced to breed to make more whales for the show it is also shown that ton's of these baby whales don't survive in captivity more than a few days weeks or months because they don't get the care they need from their mothers and at seaworld a dead baby killer whale was found at the bottom of the tank.so far killer whales should be treated with respect and not be killed as they help the ecosystem and without them we could end up with no food.
