Neutrons Bunkr Station 3

Matt D

Neutrons are located in the nucleus. They have no electrical charge at all.  (you have to log in to DE to access the video)

Neutrons were discovered in 1932 by James Chadwick.

Neutrons balance out the electrons and the protons.

In 1939 a group of scientists led by a scientist named Enrico Fermi used a neutron like a bullet and they split an atom giving birth to the nuclear age.

Neutrons have an atomic mass. The mass is about one atomic mass unit.
