EMI_CONCEPT

  • European Music Incubator (EMI) = innovative cooperation clustering trans-sectorial organizations to develop support programs at local and European levels
  • EMI = skill-training and mobility system for musicians-entrepreneurs who want to develop a long-term career, grounded on entrepreneurship mindset
  • EMI = European support system providing new business models strategy for in-between musicians

OBJECTIVES

  1. Encouraging in-between musicians new business models development to access new markets and diversifying revenue streams
  2. Educating and training in-between musicians to build-up a career strategy based on entrepreneurship vision
  3. Building up transnational interdisciplinary cooperation to create a European training pathway dedicated to in-between musicians
  4. Encouraging in-between musicians to develop new activities connected with new digital opportunities

In-between musician means "emerging musicians"


Based on "in-between bands" definition : “These bands have made the choice to turn professional but music isn't their main means of earning a living”


EMI is also dedicated to musicians who want to extend in international level

EMI_PROGRAM

EMI will select 7 musicians to a yearlong mentoring program:

  1. 5 collective workshops about fast-moving creative sectors: socio-economic analysis, sector current needs, institutional stakeholders, perspectives, etc.
  2. 5 collective workshops about entrepreneurship vision: strategy, marketing, risk-taking, business-plan, 
  3. 1 individual mentored pilot-project to experiment during 6 months a project connecting music and fast-moving creative sector. Professional mentors will supervise these projects.
  4. At the end of the program, each musician will entitle an individual report about his/her career’s perspectives.
