Luge

Luge is the French word for "Sledge" created by Switzerland in the 16th century, 300 years later the first track for the new sport had been created by hotel owners.

Men who weigh less than 198 lbs and women who weigh less than 165 lbs are allowed to add extra weight as ballast.

There is singles and doubles which is how many people ride during the event.

The length is how long it takes you to complet a long and icy 4km road.

There is no score in this sport other than your time that you finish with.

The first international race course was held in Davos in 1883, with competitors racing along an icy 4km road.
