The mass of Venus is 4.87 x 1024 kg while the mass on earth is 5.98 x 1024 kg.
The size difference between venus and earth is 638 km difference in diameter, Venus having 81.5% of the Earth's mass.
Venus revolves or orbits around the Sun once every 0.615 Earth years
A planet's day is the time it takes the planet to rotate or spin once on its axis. Venus rotates much more slowly than Earth does, so a day on Venus is much longer than a day on Earth. A day on Venus lasts for 243 Earth days or 5,832 hours!
Venus is made up of a central iron core and a rocky mantle, similar to the composition of Earth. Its atmosphere is mainly made up of carbon dioxide (96%) and nitrogen (3%), with small amounts of other gases.
The average temperature on Venus is 864 degrees Fahrenheit (462 degrees Celsius). Temperature changes slightly traveling through the atmosphere, growing cooler farther away from the surface. Lead would melt on the surface of the planet, where the temperature is around 872 F (467 C).Nov 16, 2012
