A Summary of Understanding by Design!!!
Understanding by design is a plan in which effective lesson planing in done in a "backwards" order. To begin, an educator must first clearly identify what results he or she wants based off of their big idea for the unit. From this point the lesson can be created in more detail, and more efficiently. Assessments and standards are put into place and transformed into goals for each student!
